Social media smarts, cell phone how-tos and information about a career in printing are just a few of the things you’ll learn during events this week throughout the New North:
Thinking about a career in printing? Fox Valley Technical College is holding its popular Printing Technologies Open House from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bordini Center. Attendees will learn more about the training offered at FVTC and get an opportunity to tour the printing lab.
Social media and personal branding are the focus of Pulse’s gathering Tuesday at Pullman’s in Trolley Square in Appleton. The event runs from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. and includes networking and a presentation by social media consultants/coaches Mark and Debra Gehrke on how to use social media to convey your personal brand. Cost is $10 for Pulse members and $20 for non-members. Register online at .
Make your cell phone work for you. Attend Tuesday’s “Increase Your Mobile IQ” from 7 to 10 a.m. at the F.K. Bemis Center at St. Norbert College. There will be a general information session, followed by breakout sessions to help you learn how to fully utilize your phone. This event is sponsored jointly by the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Cellcom. Cost is $35 for chamber members. Register at www.titletown.org.
