It’s a busy week in the New North as multiple organizations have special events and forums planned. Here’s just a sampling of what’s coming up this week:
The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce is planning something different for their annual awards event on Tuesday. The event is being held at Badger Sports Park and will feature networking, entertainment, food and a chance to honor Heart of the Valley businesses.
The Fond du Lac Association of Commerce will hold its monthly Business Connection from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at JF Ahern Co. The event gives members an opportunity to network and visit a local business. JF Ahern is a full-service mechanical and fire protection contractor with offices in eight states. Social worker Bob Johnson will talk about ethics in the workplace at Wednesday’s Management Women Inc. luncheon at Brett Favre’s Steakhouse in Green Bay. The meeting begins at 11:45 a.m. Johnson will talk about how an organization’s culture sets the standard for decision making and individual behavior. U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen (D-Appleton) will join Mid-Day Business and Professional Women Wednesday at its regular member meeting for an open discussion on federal legislative initiatives that affect women and families. Downtown Fond du Lac will be the focus of a form from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Windhover Center for the Arts. All property owners, business owners, employees or those invested in Downtown Fond du Lac are encouraged to attend to discuss what’s needed to help businesses succeed.
Gather insights into what’s up in downtown De Pere, downtown Green Bay and in other parts of the greater Green Bay area at the February Business and Breakfast hosted by the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the F.K. And this event is next week, but it comes pretty early – 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 22. The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Wisconsin Chambers Coalition will hold its annual legislative dialogue breakfast at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton. Speakers at the event include Rick Chandler, president of Chandler Consulting LLC, a public policy and government relations consulting firm and Dan Ariens, president and CEO of the Ariens Company in Brillion.
