Business leaders, educators and officials
from non-profit and government agencies will gather Oct. 5 for the sixth annual
Northwoods Economic Summit at the Four Seasons Resort in Pembine.
The summit is a facilitated gathering of area
leaders to help plan the future of Wisconsin’s northern region and Michigan’s
Upper Peninsula. Presentations will focus on how to grow the economy through
entrepreneurship and the implementation of lean processes.
Jim Golembeski of the Bay Area Workforce Development
Board says there will also be a discussion of the rural “brain drain” based on
the findings of a recent study.
The cost to attend is $35 in advance or $45
at the door. For more information and to register, click here.
