How did it get to be the last week of October already? Fall is flying by fast. Here is a quick look at some activities this week, along with some other upcoming events you won't want to miss.

Social media guru Peter Shankman is speaking at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brett Favre Steakhouse in Green Bay as part of the Northeast Wisconsin PRSA's 10th anniversary celebration. Shankman is an entrepreneur, author, speaker and worldwide connector who is recognized for his radical new ways of thinking about social media, PR, marketing, advertising, creativity and customer service. The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting Tuesday at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton. Registration and networking begins at 5 p.m. The event’s keynote speaker will be Barry Asmus, Ph.D., who will talk about “America's Economic Future." Click here to learn more.

The Business Resource Center is planning its first-ever Business Sustainability Workshop on Wednesday at Butte des Morts Country Club in Appleton. The free workshop will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and feature BRC advisor Curt Hoffman, who will discuss social sustainability, financial sustainability and environmental sustainability. Learn 60 marketing tips in 60 minutes at a Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce interactive workshop starting at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 2 at Bergstrom of Kaukauna, 2929 Lawe St. The seminar will cover 60 grassroots marketing ideas to help build your business. SCORE and the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce are holding a free small business roundtable formation meeting at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 9 at the chamber office. With all the rain last summer, mold is an issue that may be creeping up on some businesses. Bonestroo, Inc. and the Law Offices of Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. are holding a two-hour seminar at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 9 at the law offices of Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C., 231 South Adams St., Green Bay. The Fox Cities/Green Bay Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) is holding its annual Business Bytes and Wine Delights from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Marq, 3177 French Road, De Pere. EWGA members and guests will enjoy wine tasting and a program put on by Joyce Nelson called “Teeing up for success” and a keynote speech by Mel Sole, president of instruction at the Phil Ritson-Mel Sole Golf Schools.
