Festival Foods is moving into the Sheboygan market. The Green Bay-based grocer will open a store this fall at 609 S. Taylor Drive.

The 70,000-square-foot store will offer a “kitchen classics” meat department, natural and organic foods, fresh sushi, a healthy-choices salad and hot foods bar, an extensive deli and prepared foods selection, a wine and spirits shop, and catering services. In addition, customers will have access to in-store banking services. There will also be a Tot Spot where shoppers can drop off their children while they shop.

Robert Schmidt, managing partner of Boulder Venture LLC in Milwaukee, is the land developer and says Festival will help anchor a site that will eventually include 30,000 square feet of additional retail space.  The site previously was home to a Wal-Mart store.

“Festival Foods is the ideal type of anchor tenant to kick off the redevelopment of the Taylor
Heights Shopping Center,” Schmidt says.

Mark Skogen, Festival’s president and chief executive officer, says the company is excited to enter the Sheboygan market. “The Sheboygan area represents a key opportunity to expand our business and introduce our products and services to a new group of customers,” he says.

Festival has stores already in Green Bay, Suamico, De Pere, Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Marshfield, Eau Claire, Holmen, Onalaska and La Crosse.
