Small technology-based manufacturing businesses have the potential and the opportunity to bring next generation, high margin products to the marketplace, but paying for costly R&D is often beyond the financial capabilities and internal resources of the business. But there is help available for small businesses thanks to federal R&D investments.
The Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network is holding a free interactive webinar from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 24 on how to target federal R&D investments through the $2.5 billion Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs. Each project has the potential to be awarded up to $850,000 in federal funding that supports product development efforts that may lead to follow-on government contracts.
During the webinar, attendees will learn about federal research funding leading to commercialization, what you need and how to write a competitive research proposal, who’s needed on a technical team to be competitive and how WEN can help companies be successful in these programs.
