It’s no secret manufacturing is the heart of Wisconsin, in particular the New North. With that in mind, Educational Television Productions of Northeast Wisconsin and sponsored by Wisconsin Public Television and the NEW Manufacturing Alliance have come together on a new documentary looking at the state of manufacturing in Wisconsin.
“Manufacturing the Future” is a one-hour documentary that will air tonight on Wisconsin Public TV at 9:30 p.m.
Producers spent three years filming at a variety of manufacturing sites across Wisconsin to get a handle on the industry’s strengths and weaknesses. A special look is given at the industry’s challenges, including a shrinking labor pool of skilled workers, globalization and environmental issues.
You can learn more by visiting the Manufacturing the Future’s website.
But the documentary is must-see TV for anyone involved in the industry as well as its supporting industries, including education.
