The Wisconsin Credit Association Inc. is sponsoring an event that is open to the public called “Turmoil and Change in the Middle East, North Africa and Other Hot Spots,” with guest speaker, Hans Belcsak beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh. Belcsak is well-known around the country for his world-wide economic and political risk. In the morning, he’ll talk about the Middle East and North Africa and will discuss Japan and other “hot spots” after lunch. Officials from Oshkosh Corp. and Alliance Laundry will also speak. The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon with U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble on Aug. 8 at Liberty Hall in Appleton. The gathering will include a panel discussion with area business leaders on the impact of the state and federal regulations on local businesses. The cost to attend is $25 and includes a plated lunch.
