Insights on Energy: Business Development in New Energy Markets will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland. The event is hosted by Wisconsin Wind Works, New North Inc. and Lakeshore Technical College.
The program is a part of a series that will highlight speakers on market trends, energy technology and supply chains, and each event will focus on a new energy market. Wednesday’s speakers are Tim Baye, professor of business development at UW-Extension and John Welch, solid waste manager of Dane County.
Jeff Anthony, director of business development for the American Wind Energy Association will answer questions on the latest market developments in wind energy. Lakeshore Technical College will offer a guided tour of its wind turbines and training facilities.

- Tuesday, July 24: Current, the Green Bay Chamber’s young professionals group, will host Lunch n’ Learn from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program will feature Service for the Soul, an initiative aimed at inspiring volunteerism, launched by Miss Wisconsin 2010 Kimberly Sawyer-Larsen. - Wednesday, July 25: The UW-Oshkosh Business Success Center will hold the fourth annual AeroInnovate event during the EAA AirVenture week. The event will highlight new technologies, entrepreneurs, emerging companies and investment trends. The day starts at 9 a.m. with speaker Scott Case, CEO of Startup America Partnership, and includes Venture Forums, an Investors Only Roundtable, and an evening panel discussion. There also will be a Pitch & Mingle Event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the EAA Aviators Club. - Thursday, July 26: A free Manufacturing Masterminds seminar on exporting will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Miron Construction in Neenah. The event, sponsored by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, is designed for senior managers of local manufacturing companies and will feature a roundtable of CEO speakers. Thursday’s event features Doug Brown, president of Biax FiberFilm; Stephen Sakai, president of CMD Corporation; and Rob Swannell, general manager of Great Northern Corporation Rollguard. Additionally, Marie Martin, director of global education from Fox Valley Technical College and Marie Mansheim, senior growth specialist from the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, will provide information on export resources and assistance.
