The second annual Manufacturing First Expo & Conference will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the KI Center in Green Bay. Keynote speakers Jim Morgan and Tim Sullivan will each address the workforce shortage in manufacturing. Morgan is president of the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Foundation and WMC vice president, and Sullivan is former CEO of Bucyrus and special consultant for the state of Wisconsin. The lunch presentation will be given by Mike Buseman, executive vice president of global operations at Plexus. Breakout sessions will be held on innovation, the skills shortage and global competitiveness. Tickets are $50 before Sept. 1, $75 after. The price includes lunch and access to the full day of conference, expo and networking opportunities.   • Tuesday, Sept. 11: The Manitowoc Chapter of Women in Management (WIMI) will hold its season kick-off program on Tuesday, Sept. 11 starting at 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn at 4601 Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc. The event includes networking, an introduction by Kate Thome, executive president, and professional photos. The cost for the photos is $15 per person and the proceeds benefit the scholarship program. The photos can be used for business cards, websites, social media or WIMI profiles. The fee is $13 for members and includes lunch. Guests and members who bring guests pay $10.   • Friday, Sept. 14: The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac’s Casino Night Fundraiser will be hosted at South Hills Golf & Country Club and includes Las Vegas style casino games, raffle prizes and an all-you-can-eat buffet.
