The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual dinner starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24. The dinner features keynote speaker J.R. Martinez, actor, U.S. Army veteran and Dancing with the Stars winner. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony and keynote presentation. Tickets are $50 or $500 for a table of ten. Tuesday, Oct. 16: Registration is due for the Entrepreneurial Boot Camp planned for Oct. 23 to Oct. 26 at the Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County office. Some of the topics that will be covered include identifying yourself and your business, getting publicity, social PR, preparing budgets, and building networks. The cost for Boot Camp is $110 for up to two  participants with the same plan and $135 for three participants with the same plan. Wednesday, Oct. 17: The 2012 Management Women, Inc. fundraiser, “Heels Hopes & Higher Education,” will be held at Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay. The event features motivational speaker and author Marilyn Sherman. Management Women Inc. is an organization for mid- to upper-level managers. The day-long event, which starts at 9:30 a.m. with registration, will raise funds for scholarships for local women who are pursuing post-secondary education. Thursday, Oct. 18: The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business & Breakfast will be held starting at 7 a.m. at the Bemis International Center at St. Norbert College. Phil Hauck of the Executive Committee will present the program, “The Medical Cost/Insurance/Affordable Care Act Debacle: Next Steps!” The event is $18 for members and $35 for prospective members. Tuesday, Oct. 23: The Fond du Lac Association of Commerce will hold an ACUniversity class, “Welcome to the Cloud – Open 24/7” at the Fond du Lac Police Department, 126 N. Main Street in Fond du Lac. The program will be presented by Scott Blamey, business analyst at wisnet.com, who will discuss cloud computing and its value to businesses. Thursday, Oct. 25: Ministry Door County Medical Center, the Door County Economic Development Corporation and Door County Visitor Bureau are hosting a presentation by Joanne Alig of the Wisconsin Hospital Association called “Employer Sponsored Health Insurance and Health Insurance Exchanges.” The event will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is free.
