The St. Norbert College CEO Breakfast and Strategy Series 2012-13 will feature Helen Johnson-Leipold, chairwoman of Johnson Financial Group, chairwoman and CEO of Johnson Outdoors and chairwoman of the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread. The event is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Butte des Morts Country Club in Appleton. The cost is $60. Tuesday, Jan. 22: The Chamber of Manitowoc County will be hosting a Chamber Café event, “Workplace Culture: How Do We Do Things Around Here?” presented by Rick Balzan from noon to 1 p.m. at The Chamber of Manitowoc County, 1515 Memorial Drive. Tuesday, Jan. 22: The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold the morning discussion Workplace Wellness: How to Stay Healthy at Work, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the chamber office, 101 E. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna. There is no cost to attend, but please register at web.heartofthevalleychamber.com/events.

Wednesday, Jan. 23: The public is invited to a reception from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on  at the historic Nicolet School, 109 E. 8th St., to launch the new Grand KaKalin riverfront development project in Kaukauna. Stadtmueller & Associates will present results of the community input workshop for the Eagle Mill preservation and redevelopment. Friday, Feb. 1: The fifth annual Progressive Operator’s Series will be presented by Lakeshore Technical College and the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Service for the dairy and agribusiness industry. The three-part series begins Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Topics include world diary economics and “e-dairying,” or new electronic tools to assist dairy farmers manage herd health and reproduction. The session will be at LTC in Cleveland, and continuing education credits are available. The second session will be held on March 1 and the third on March 22. Thursday, Feb. 7: The Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County and Lakeshore Technical College will present a one-hour information session called Business Building Blocks from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event, which is for people interested in starting their own business, will be at the corporation office at 202 N. 8th Street, Suite 101 in Manitowoc.
