The 2013 Lee Remmel Sports Awards Banquet will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 at the Swan Club, 875 Heritage Road, De Pere. Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Dave Robinson will receive the 2013 Distinguished Service Award at the banquet, hosted by De Pere Rotary. Green Bay Packer A.J. Hawk and longtime Green Bay Preble High School track and football coach Pat Prochnow also will receive awards. The public is invited. Wednesday, May 29: Van’s Lumber & Custom Builders will hold an open house at its new Dyckesville Building Center, E176 Highway S, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting with a luncheon cookout from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tours of the facility will take place from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tuesday, June 4: Schenck is hosting a seminar “The Health Care Reform Act: What Lies Ahead” at the Rock Garden in Green Bay. The seminar will be repeated on Thursday, June 6 at the Pine Hills Country Club in Sheboygan; on Thursday, June 13 at La Sure’s Hall in Oshkosh; on Tuesday, June 18 at the Butte des Morts Country Club in Appleton; on Thursday, June 20 at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac; and on Thursday, June 27 at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc. Wednesday, June 5: Door County Buy Local is holding a business networking mixer from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Nautical Inn Pub and Grill, 234 Kentucky Street, Sturgeon Bay. The event features a presentation by James Engle and Joe Lawniczak of the Wisconsin Main Street Program on the importance of curb appeal. Thursday, June 6: The Green Bay Chamber of Commerce will host its Business Recognition Awards at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main St. in Green Bay. A business showcase opens at 11 a.m., followed by the luncheon at 11:55 a.m. and the awards program to follow. Wednesday, June 12: The Fox Cities Chamber Business Trifecta will be at the Radisson Paper Valley hotel in Appleton. The Trifecta includes the Business Awards Luncheon, the Business Expo and the Business Connection. The Luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and recognizes top local businesses. Friday, June 14: Applications are due for the 2014 class of Brown County Teen Leadership (BCTL), a program of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. The program is offered to high school sophomores at the 10 area Partners in Education schools (Ashwaubenon, Denmark, De Pere, Green Bay, Howard-Suamico, Luxemburg-Casco, Pulaski, Seymour, West De Pere and Wrightstown) and participating private schools (NEW Lutheran and Notre Dame Academy) during the academic year.
