De Pere-based air service provider MetJet is cancelling its flight operations, starting with flights on Saturday, Oct. 26. Flights scheduled for Oct. 16, 19 and 23 will continue. This includes all flights operated as a public charter, under the “MetJet” name, in and out of Green Bay, Cancun, Minneapolis, Orlando, and Fort Myers, Fla.

Reservations for resorts, hotels or Disney Vacations booked through MetJet Vacations will not be affected, with the exclusion of flights. A MetJet vacation planner will be available to customers to address questions and assist with reservations.

“We apologize for every inconvenience we have caused,” says MetJet CEO Michael Heisman. “MetJet was formed to provide quality, affordable nonstop flights from Green Bay to key vacation destinations. Over the last year we have been able to create a dedicated customer base through our amazing service, but as we look at the months ahead it is clear that we do not have enough demand, or customers, to continue operating.  It is with deep regret that we make this difficult decision that affects our families, friends, neighbors and the community as a whole.”

MetJet is preparing refunds for those passengers who qualify. Throughout this process, MetJet will have staff at their De Pere office Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to address questions. In addition, passengers can email [email protected].
