Women in Management-Fox Cities will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the Fox Banquets Rivertyme Catering in Appleton. The meeting features speaker Cully Sheahan, assistant vice president at Robert W. Wednesday, Jan. 1: Applications are due for the next class of the Volunteer Center of Brown County’s leadership development initiative, “Women Growing Leadership Diversity… Sowing Seeds for the Future.”  The program provides women and teenage girls with the opportunity to develop leadership skills during four sessions, held January through April. Tuesday, Jan. 14: The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Over Breakfast event on healthy recipe makeovers presented by Network Health from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at the chamber office, 101 E. Wednesday, Jan. 15: The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce will feature Joe Knilans, director of the state Office of Business Development at the chamber office, 101 E. Wisconsin Ave. Kaukauna. Participants can bring their regulatory concerns to the meeting. The event is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $5 for members or $15 with lunch, or $10 for non-members or $20 with lunch. Monday, Jan. 27: The Door County Economic Development Corporation and the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center are sponsoring an entrepreneurial training program in Door County at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College-Sturgeon Bay. The eight-week course takes students through the process of researching and writing a professional business plan. The cost of the course is $250 including books and materials. Wednesday, Jan. 29: Fox Valley Technical College is offering Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
