Northeast Wisconsin’s newest cancer treatment center will begin seeing patients on Monday.
That’s when Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology opens its new Health & Wellness Center, located at the intersection of North Gateway and East Evergreen drives in Appleton. Under Construction since October 2014, the 70,000-square-foot facility was designed based with an emphasis of patient-centered care.
“Since our founding, FVHO’s entire staff—from the oncologists to the individuals who greet patients at the door—has taken pride in treating patients as we would treat our own family members,” said Dr. Bill Guenther, founder and physician, FVHO. “This new facility will allow us to continue the patient-focused care we’ve provided for the last 25 years in an environment that is truly conducive to healing, with the most advanced technology and care techniques available. The patient experience in the FVHO Health & Wellness Center will be unparalleled to any other care facility in northeast Wisconsin.”
The FVHO Health & Wellness Center will provide advanced cancer treatment options to an estimated 300 patients daily and offers a full complement of services in addition to oncology, hematology and radiation therapy. Additional services and benefits include a coffee shop, meeting space for support groups and access to chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists as well as mental health specialists and yoga instructors.
This holistic, collaborative approach to care is furthered by fellow building occupants The Diagnostic Center; Health & Wellness Family Care; Cafe Debé; Well Within Chiropractic and Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine.
