With the momentum of strong growth over the past decade, SECURA Insurance announced it plans to break ground this spring on a new home office facility in the Village of Fox Crossing.
SECURA and the village reached a final agreement for the company to construct its new building on a 160-acre plot of land it owns along County Highway CB. The 300,000-square-foot facility will house 900 employees.
“SECURA’s new facility will accommodate our growth well into the future in terms of the modular building design and the 160-acre property,” says SECURA President and CEO Dave Gross. “Just as important, our vision is to bring our people-focused culture, environmental heritage and spirit of wellness to life under one roof for many generations to come.”
Over the past 10 years, the company has increased revenue nearly 80 percent and grown its employee base by more than 40 percent. SECURA employs more than 500 people locally who will work from the new location, as well as 200 remotely, and the organization expects continued employment growth.
To address the growth, the company modified its current Appleton office on South Memorial Drive and considered options like establishing regional offices and hiring remote workers before settling on the new facility. The company, which does business in 12 states, will look to sell its current headquarters.
Gross says the new location positions the 117-year-old company for the next 100 years. The master plan for the site has incorporated potential for future growth.
“We anticipate the beautiful proposed facility, and the location of several hundred jobs will spur further development on our west side,” Fox Crossing President Dale Youngquist says in a press release.
