A driving force in the state’s economy, this month’s Insight July cover story subject, Oshkosh Corp., has a lot to celebrate this year.
On Saturday, the company kicks off a community party with a parade at 10 a.m., featuring more than 60 of its vintage and modern vehicles. The parade route starts at 20th Street, east of Knapp Street, and ends at Hughes Street. In the lead will be “Old Betsy” one of the company’s first all-wheel drive trucks.
Then from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the company hosts an open house, showcasing its people and products, at the Oshkosh Corp. E-Coat and South Plant Facility, 333 W. 29th Ave., Oshkosh. Admission is 100 cents ($1) or a canned food donation. Parking will be available at UW-Oshkosh with handicapped parking onsite.
