Green Bay Botanical Garden is looking to win a lifetime of bathroom bragging rights – and yes, you read that right.
The garden features a bathroom nicknamed the “Hobbit House” that has been chosen as a top 10 finalist in the 2018 Cintas America’s Best Restroom contest. In addition to bragging rights, Green Bay Botanical Garden could will $2,500 in Cintas products and services to maintain the facility if it’s chosen.
Located in the Green Bay Botanical Garden’s children’s garden area, the structure is built directly into the hillside to maintain a cool temperature and provides visitors with a hill that showcases a perfect view of the gardens. Using natural materials whenever possible and installing local boulders as part of the design, the Les & Dar Stumpf Hobbit House Restroom is a sustainable building that reflects raw, creative innovation.
To vote for the “Hobbit House” and view the other restrooms in the running for this award including Bryant Park in New York City, a hotel in Hollywood and a trendy Chicago restaurant, visit www.bestrestroom.com/us through Sept. 18.
