Associated Bank is purchasing the Wisconsin branch operations of The Huntington National Bank, a subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares Inc., for an estimated $34 million.
As part of the deal, Associated Bank will acquire approximately $850 million in deposits, $134 million in loans and 32 branch locations, including Algoma, Appleton, Green Bay, Kaukauna, Kiel, Lena, New London, Oconto, Oshkosh, Pulaski, Suamico, Suring, Townsend, Wautoma and Winneconne.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and will close during the first half of 2019.
“The scale and efficiencies we gain will position us to make investments to further enhance the customer experience and deliver increased value to our customers, colleagues, communities and shareholders,” Associated Bank President and CEO Philip Flynn said in a statement.
