August may be more than eight months away, but plans are already underway for the third annual TEDxFonddulac event as organizers have begun accepting speaker and performer applications.
The theme for the Aug. 17 event has not been released, but organizers say it will be a broad idea that will be able to encompass a wide variety of talks. The 2018 theme was Enough.
Individuals can nominate themselves or share with someone they believe has a great idea to share by visiting tedxfonddulac.com. All ideas are accepted for consideration. The online application includes tips to help make applications stand out, information on time commitment for those chosen, and much more that will be helpful in crafting the best “idea worth spreading.”
All nominations are due Jan. 31.
A TEDx event is organized independently of any other event, organization or other affiliation in the spirit of TED conferences (Technology, Entertainment, and Design). This volunteer-driven initiative, operated under a license granted by the TED organization, combines live speakers and official TED videos, as well as an interactive environment, to challenge the thinking of everyone who attends.
