The project site of the future Fox Cities Champion Center in Grand Chute incurred acts of vandalism estimated to have caused more than $1 million in damage. The vandalism was discovered early on the morning of Jan. 23. Miron Construction Co. Inc., the construction manager on the project, in conjunction with the Town of Grand Chute, is cooperating with local authorities to investigate the damage.
The vandalism has resulted in the closure of the project site for the time being to allow the proper authorities to review site conditions and assess the equipment damage incurred. Miron says its No. 1 priority is to get the project site back up and running as soon as possible so as not to impact the project schedule of this groundbreaking facility for the Fox Cities community.
