Community members are getting the opportunity to share their ideas and opinions about the new Brown County Expo Center, which will be built across the street from Lambeau Field.

Construction on the $93 million project is expected to begin in May with the expectation it will be finished in January 2021. Shopko Hall, the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena and the old Packer Hall of Fame will be demolished to make room for the expo center, which will be three times the size of Shopko Hall’s current footprint.
An open house was held this week at Ashwaubenon Village Hall to gather comments on the project. Another open house on the project will be held at a later date.
“The comments from the public meeting last evening were extremely positive,” Ashwaubenon Village President Mary Kardoskee said in a statement.
The Village of Ashwaubenon Community Development Authority will own the expo center, and it will be leased to Brown County until the bonds for the costs are paid off.
