High school students from across Manitowoc County will have an opportunity to share their ideas for new businesses at the Light Up the Lakeshore Student Business Idea Competition.
Students compete in a “Shark Tank” inspired contest that’s designed to encourage them to become leaders, entrepreneurs and inventors. The first step is for students to submit a 90-second video explaining their business idea, which could be a service or product.
Students will compete for prizes including scholarships, seed funds and in-kind consultation. The awards will be handed out at the final competition on May 14 at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Manitowoc Campus Theater.
The 2019 Light Up the Lakeshore Student Business Idea Competition was created through the partnership of Rawley Point Economic Advising, BizStarts Two Rivers and Manitowoc County Vision 2022.
