Raising funds for Green Bay nonprofits in a BIG way

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is using a 24-hour online event starting at noon Wednesday to raise funds for 40 nonprofit organizations in the Green Bay area.

Give BIG Green Bay is supported by a $250,000 impact grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation and donations from other supporters, creating a pool of $312,500 of matching funds.

Give BIG Green Bay runs from Wednesday, Feb. 20 to noon on Thursday, Feb. 21. All donations can be made at giveBIGgreenbay.org.

During its inaugural event last year, Give BIG Green Bay raise more than $800,000 for more than 30 nonprofits.

Participating nonprofits include animal welfare, arts and culture, community improvement, education, environment and conservation, health and wellness, hunger and homelessness, human services, military and law enforcement, recreation and sports, and youth development.
