‘Hamilton’ leads off 2019-20 PAC season

It’s official: “Hamilton” is coming to Appleton’s Fox Cities Performing Arts Center this October.

The cultural phenomenon is one of seven shows announced Monday evening as part of the 2019-20 Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America-Fox Cities Series.

In addition to “Hamilton,” which is making its Wisconsin debut, other shows include “Dear Evan Hansen,” “The Band’s Visit,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Miss Saigon” and “Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville.” The Blue Man Group is also an additional season option.

“Dear Evan Hansen,” which won the 2017 Tony for Best Musical, will also make its Wisconsin debut at the Fox Cities PAC.

Five- and six-show season ticket options, plus the added option of The Blue Man Group, are available. “The Phantom of the Opera” is only part of the six-show package.

Ticket demand is expected to be high this season due to “Hamilton.”

Here’s a look at this season’s lineup:

  • Oct. 1-20: “Hamilton”
  • Dec. 4-15: “The Phantom of the Opera” (part of the six-show package)
  • Jan. 24-26, 2020: Blue Man Group (additional season option)
  • Feb. 18-23: “Miss Saigon”
  • March 24-29: “Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville”
  • May 5-10: “The Band’s Visit”
  • June 23-28: “Dear Evan Hansen”
