Redline Plastics announced plans to build a new 117,900-square-foot manufacturing facility in Manitowoc. This new facility will be more than twice the space of its current home.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held March 21 at the construction site for the new plant located on South 59th Street in the Manitowoc I-43 Technology & Enterprise Campus. Redline manufactures rotational-molded, vacuum-formed and line-bent plastics products for a variety of industries as well as leather and textile products for the powersports industry.
The new manufacturing facility will accommodate the company’s continued growth over the last few years. The company has 100 employees and is projected to hire more than 40 new workers over the next three years. The building is being constructed on 11.1 acres, large enough to add another 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space to accommodate future growth.
“Manitowoc is a wonderful community and we are excited to continue our growth and investment in the community and its people,” says Nick Murray, vice president of operations.
The project represents an estimated $12.5 million investment and is scheduled to be completed by November 2019.
