NOVO Health is building off the theme of the 50th anniversary of the first humans walking on the moon for its May 8 conference — Our Health Care Moonshot. It will share the small steps employers can take to make a giant impact on their company’s health care costs.
Appleton-based NOVO Health represents board-certified independent physicians and accredited facilities that offer specialty health care solutions and partners with payers to reduce their medical spend. The organization is holding its annual day-long conference at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh beginning at 8 a.m.
International Space Hall of Fame member Mike Mullane — the conference’s keynote speaker — will discuss the importance of teamwork and leadership to accomplish critical missions, drawing from his experiences serving in combat missions in Vietnam and as a mission specialist on three space shuttle flights as well as climbing some of the world’s highest peaks.
After Mullane’s presentation, NOVO Health CEO Curt Kubiak will outline the “moonshot” moment to fix America’s health care crisis. The conference also will feature employer and provider panels and breakout sessions.
