Shopko closing remaining stores by mid-June

Shopko will close all of its stores by June, according to new information provided to the U.S. bankruptcy court.

The Ashwaubenon-based retailer filed an additional list of store closures today that includes about 120 more stores that were originally expected to say open, including ones in Bay Park Square and East Town Mall in Green Bay, the store on Northland Avenue in Appleton and stores in Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Clintonville, Sister Bay and Wautoma.

The court document states all stores will be close by June 16.

Today’s announcement comes a little more than a month after Shopko announced it would close 250 stores, nearly 70 percent of its brick and mortar locations.
