Acclaimed CEO to speak at annual United Way community report

Bob Chapman, CEO of $3 billion global manufacturing company Barry-Wehmiller, will serve as the keynote speaker at the United Way Fox Cities Report to the Community on April 23.

The event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley in Appleton. People can register online at The cost is $20 per person.

Inc. magazine recently named Chapman the No. 3 CEO in the world. He’s known for using his platform as a business leader to build a better world. He developed Truly Human Leadership, a people-centric approach aimed at helping his employees feel valued, cared for and an integral part of the company’s purpose.

Chapman became the senior executive of the company in 1975 at age 30 and over the past two decades has grown the company through more than 100 successful acquisitions. Barry-Wehmiller’s Wisconsin companies include Paper Converting Machine Co. in Green Bay.
