The application process is open for TEDxUW-Green Bay, which is organized by faculty from the school’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and hosted by the Weidner Center.
The second annual TEDxUW-Green Bay will be held Oct. 24. Speaker nominations and applications are due at 5 p.m. on April 30.
“We had hundreds of submissions for speakers and the event itself was sold out, so our hope is to build upon that success. The TEDx videos from last year’s event now have more than 100,000 views. It’s a powerful platform,” said Kelli Strickland, executive and artistic director of the Weidner Center.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talk video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
