The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is offering a new cohort-based graduate-level Data Analytics Certificate starting in September in response to local employers looking for graduates with advanced data skills.
The Data Analytics Certificate will focus on using traditional and new analysis models to teach students how to analyze large data sets and apply these new skills to a real-world problem. Students will bring in a problem they are facing in their current job and work on solving the problem throughout the program. Projects can be completed in a group and will be led by a faculty member.
The cohort will be limited to 25 students and the certificate can be completed in about nine months.
The certificate is specifically designed for students looking to advance their data skills to use in current jobs and not necessarily for students wanting to move into a data science profession.
