The Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College is offering expanded entrepreneur training opportunities to military veterans returning from service.

The Innovation Accelerator is a small business startup initiative for veterans. The program, which has support from the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, is offered in two phases. Phase 1 is a business model design workshop that helps clearly define how a business is going to generate profit, followed by a 10-week e-seed training series where veterans develop a business plan to execute their business model. Since its inception, nearly 50 veterans have completed the program.

The Venture Center is hosting two free informational sessions for veterans and their families about the program from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on July 22 and Aug. 6. Both events will be held at FVTC’s D.J. Bordini, 5 Systems Drive, Appleton. It is not necessary to attend both sessions.

Register for the program here or by calling (920) 735-2472.
