Located at 340 N. Broadway St. within the Rail Yard Innovation District in Green Bay, the Urban Hub will serve as an extension of the Startup Hub, which serves as the front door to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Greater Green Bay and offers tenancy/incubator and business resources from onsite partners. The Urban Hub will focus on being a co-working space for entrepreneurs and remote workers located in the heart of a growing downtown district.
Ron Franklin, Startup Hub and now Urban Hub manager, said bringing the former T2 Accelerator under the direct management of the Greater Green Bay Chamber provides a new synergy to the entrepreneurial community. All Urban Hub co-working clients also have access to the services available at the Startup Hub including working with its onsite partner organizations that include SCORE and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Small Business Development Center, among others.
Franklin said his work with the Startup Hub has increasingly pointed to the need – especially among millennials – for access to a downtown co-working space that’s closely aligned with a larger entity such as the Startup Hub that offers business planning and a host of other services.
“It’s about offering even more opportunities not only to entrepreneurs but also to companies who have workers from outside the area who frequently visit here and need a high-end, high quality, modern office space in the heart of the downtown without the expense,” he said.
