The name speaks to the school’s foundation of faith, family and academic excellence, the Manitowoc-based school says. It highlights the school’s identity as a Franciscan Catholic College and returns it to its roots as an institution that leads with faith in everything it does, according to a release announcing the change.
In making the decision, the school considered two perspectives: focusing on its niche, while assisting students in understanding their relationship with God through a liberal arts education and tapping into a market of prospective students who desire a faith-filled college experience.
Institutions leading with faith and making it a primary piece of how they help students prepare for their future are thriving, the release said. Focusing on its ability to guide students in their faith journey, in addition to their academic and career preparation, will be the school’s competitive advantage, school officials said.
