Jack Keller began J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. in 1953 as a one-man consulting firm for the transportation industry.
“My grandfather was a true entrepreneur,” said Marne Keller-Krikava, president and CEO. “He started with nothing more than a desire to keep companies in compliance and employees safe.”
Today, J. J. Keller has more than 1,400 associates in Northeast Wisconsin and across the country. J. J. Keller is the most respected name in safety and regulatory compliance, serving more than 600,000 customers — including 90% of Fortune 1000® companies.
J. J. Keller helps companies comply with complex government regulations. While
its roots were primarily in print-based solutions like publications and forms, J. J. Keller increasingly leads the industry with proprietary solutions including software and patented technology — employing more than 200 technology associates in the Fox Valley. For example, they developed the company’s ELD, or electronic logging device, which records motor carriers’ driving activity. This device incorporates eight J. J. Keller patents.
Fastest-Growing Consulting Firm
J. J. Keller’s expertise in safety and compliance also sets it apart. Consulting in these areas continues to grow. Consulting magazine recently named J. J. Keller one of the Fastest-Growing Consulting Firms, for the third year. Since 2013, the company has doubled its growth in consulting, covering best practices in DOT compliance, workplace safety, environmental compliance, hazardous materials and human resources.
“Customers rely on us to be ahead of changing requirements,” said Keller-Krikava. “We’re expanding our consulting and service areas. In fact, we’re renovating our corporate campus to create a larger, modern workspace for associates.”
Certified Great Place to Work®
J. J. Keller recently announced a $6.5 million campus renovation, which demonstrates its commitment to associates. So does the company’s second year as a certified great workplace.
Associates gave the company this honor through the Great Place to Work® survey.
“They like our family atmosphere,” said Keller-Krikava. “They appreciate our support for the community. In their work and giving back, they know they’re making a difference.”
