Last year’s first InDevelopment conference in Appleton attracted around 300 engineers, architects, general contractors, investors and lenders involved in commercial real estate development, as well as a host of regional economic development professionals. A post-event survey found that 88 percent of attendees were satisfied or very satisfied with the result and were likely to attend again. This year’s InDevelopment conference will be held Jan. 13 at Green Bay’s KI Convention Center.
“This is going to be a great event,” says Derek Lord, economic development director for the city of Green Bay. “It’s about making connections and making deals happen. We’re excited this event will be held in Green Bay this year and I’m confident that at the end of the day, attendees will leave with real business prospects.”
The day will begin with speed networking, hosted by the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership (NEWREP). Mid-morning, attendees can take in the exhibits or choose from two separate bus tours, one of Green Bay’s three downtown business improvement districts and the other of the sports and entertainment district in the works along Ashland Avenue to Lambeau Field. Two panel discussions will take place in the afternoon: One will explore future trends in development, including convenience stores, retail and elderly living. The other will focus on commercial lending. A cocktail networking reception will cap the day.
Created and developed by Insight Publications, InDevelopment has attracted a number of key sponsors, including the City of Green Bay, which will be the host sponsor.
