Innovation takes on all manner of forms. It can be creating a new product or service, figuring out a better way to do something or developing ways to be more sustainable. During this past year with so many challenges, innovation has never been more important as businesses and organizations throughout the New North region have risen to the occasion. With so many stories to tell, Insight is creating Champions of Innovation, a special content marketing section that will appear in our May issue.
Much like the Anniversary Celebrations special section in this issue, the Champions of Innovation section will allow businesses to share their stories of innovation in their own words. You will be able to say exactly what you want about your innovation and the difference it made for your business or community. Images and logos also can be included. Businesses and organizations from throughout the New North region are invited to participate.
One interesting phenomenon this past year was the increase in the number of new startups. Whether it was due to a job loss or the additional time at home due to the Safer at Home order, more people decided to take their ideas and turn them into businesses. Along with fortitude, starting a new business requires a lot of creativy. We would love to share some of those startup stories in Champions of Innovation, too.
Champions of Innovation takes the place of our annual Insight Innovation awards event for this year. Lacking the confidence of being able to have an in-person event in May, we shifted to a special recognition publication that provides all businesses and organizations the opportunity to highlight their efforts throughout 2020 and share their innovation stories with our region.
The deadline to reserve space for your organization’s story is Feb. 15. Please contact me at [email protected] or one of our advertising reps — Stephanie Crowe at [email protected] or Diane Verhagen at [email protected] We can’t wait to share your story of innovation with Insight readers.
