Early June is the traditional time for the Chambers of Commerce in both the Fox Cities and Green Bay to host annual awards luncheons. Each still plans these: The Fox Cities Chamber hosts its annual awards luncheon on Wednesday, June 6 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton; and the Green Bay Chamber hosts its business recognition luncheon on Thursday, June 7 at the Hyatt on Main in Green Bay.

For the first time, however, the Fox Cities Chamber will host three events on the same day, combining its annual business expo and a business after-hours networking session at the same location and billing the day as a “business trifecta.”

“We’ve got the best of all three under one roof,” says Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Shannon Full. “We have the ability to celebrate our business successes with the awards luncheon, to visit local businesses at the expo and then network with all of our friends and colleagues at the business connection later. I love the idea of the trifecta.”

The event begins with registration and networking for the awards luncheon at 11 a.m. Lunch is served at 11:30 and the awards program runs through 1 p.m. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; the event typically draws about 500 and often sells out. Tickets are $20 for members, $30 for prospective members and $325 for tables of 10.

Business of the Year awards and Rising Star awards will be announced in service, wholesale/retail and manufacturing categories. Three new categories have been added: Corporate Citizen/Leadership; Company Innovation; and Exemplary Marketing and/or Performance awards. The annual Fox Cities Business Expo (which was traditionally held in the fall) will begin immediately following the awards luncheon. From 5 to 7 p.m., chamber members and exhibitors are invited to an after-hours networking event in the Radisson courtyard.
