Goodwill’s FISC program wants mothers of low to moderate income to apply for a financial education and savings program with their daughters that could offer them up to $500 in matching funds.

The program is designed to help women increase their savings reserves through an education program designed by Goodwill NCW’s Financial Information and Service Center (FISC). The women will receive financial coaching, attend workshops and participate in a shopping activity during the program.

FISC is partnering with the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, which will provide a two-for-one match up to $400 for the mother participants and $100 for daughter participants. If the mother completes the program and saves $200, for example, she can receive the $400 match. Fox Communities Credit Union will set up the new savings accounts.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 26. Applications can be found at the FISC office, 1800 Appleton Road, Menasha, or call (920) 886-1000. For more information, contact Ginny Schroeder at (920) 968-6336 or email [email protected].
