Jerry Jendusa launched an aviation startup from his basement and turned it into a $100 million international business, and now he’s sharing the lessons he’s learned with other entrepreneurs.

The Milwaukee entrepreneur will bring those insights to his keynote address at Insight’s annual Technology & Human Innovation Networking Conference — or THINC! — to be held Thursday, May 10 at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.

Jendusa, founder of aviation products and services company EMTEQ, went on to co-found STUCK Management, STUCK Fund 1 and STUCK Coaching, which allow him to follow his passion of supporting other entrepreneurs.

“I learned a lot about things you can do well, and things that are very effective when running a business,” he says.

After launching a successful business, Jendusa says he wanted to find a way to touch more individuals and businesses versus only helping the one he ran. That led him to co-found STUCK Management. He created an investment fund, and the business includes a coaching element.

The author of “Get Unstuck: Strategies, Tools and Courage to Move Your Business to the Next Level,” Jendusa appears as one of the moguls on the Milwaukee Shark Tank-themed TV program “Project Pitch It” and serves as co-chair of the entrepreneurship support organization Scale Up Milwaukee.

Jendusa recognized entrepreneurs and business leaders get stuck for a variety of reasons, from holding on to methods just because that’s the way they’ve always done them to struggles with growing their    ideas. “Get Unstuck” addresses many of those issues.

His THINC! keynote will feature a fun, lively, interactive discussion focused on innovation. “The endgame is to inspire, to help people to think about things they wouldn’t otherwise think about and to   give people something they can take

away,” he says.

In addition to Jendusa’s keynote, the event will feature the presentation of Insight’s Innovation awards in the categories of People, Planet, Process and Product (see sidebar, page 23). Award winners serve as examples of best practices in innovation that significantly improve the bottom line, grow the business, heighten employee morale, make a difference and can be considered leaders in their industry.
