PEOPLE | ThedaCare has named Maryjeanne Schaffmeyer vice president of operations for Appleton Medical Center. She previously served as manager of the Birth Center at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. In her new role, Schaffmeyer will oversee inpatient care at Appleton Medical Center.
Glen S. Yurjevich has been named chief executive officer at the Outlook Group Corp. of Neenah. He brings a wealth of senior management experience to Outlook Group, most recently serving as interim president of Whitefield Industrial Coatings in Oshkosh. His background also includes 10 years as president and chief executive officer of Creative Forming in Ripon.

Laura Morland received the 2009 Engineer of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Airport Management Association. An employee with Mead & Hunt in Madison, Morland has focused on environmental projects at more than 15 Wisconsin airports and many others across the country during the past 10 years, including environmental assessments for Outagamie County Regional Airport in 2003 and 2004. The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley has selected Marne Keller-Krikava and T. Scott Plutchak as the recipients of its 2009 Outstanding Alumni Awards. Keller-Krikava earned her associate’s degree from UWFox in 1989 and later received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Oshkosh and a master’s degree in organizational leadership and quality from Marian University. As director of strategy & business planning at J. J. Keller & Associates Inc., Keller-Krikava is responsible for corporate strategy and has multi-million-dollar profit and loss oversight of new market initiatives. After attending UWFox in 1974-75, Plutchak earned his bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee and a master’s degree in library science from UW-Oshkosh. He later served as director of the Health Sciences Center Library at St. Louis University and is now director of the Lister Hill Library of Health Services at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co. board members and staff members assembled recently to celebrate the opening of its new expansion, which added 18,900 square feet to its Neenah headquarters. As part of the project, Jewelers Mutual added an auditorium large enough to assemble up to 300 employees. The auditorium was dedicated to the late Earl DeLong, former Jewelers Mutual president and chief executive officer who passed away in 2008.

The Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton received the Most Valuable Property among hotels that regularly host visiting teams each year during the NFL’s schedule. The Radisson Paper Valley is only the second hotel to win the award, which was given by NFL Travel Directors for the first time a year ago.
ThedaCare Physicians has acquired the Nelson Family Clinic in Hilbert, bringing expanded services to patients there. The clinic is now known as ThedaCare Physicians-Hilbert. Nurse practitioner Fran Nelson plans to stay at the clinic and ThedaCare plans to add another family care provider to the clinic in the near future.
Kmotion Media, a digital agency, has opened in Green Bay. Kmotion partners with advertising agencies and clients to create engaging and effective advertising, marketing and corporate communication experiences delivered on the digital platforms that people interact with daily. Kmotion Media was formed by the interactive and web department of Pulse Communications, which closed in March.
