H.J. Martin and Son was involved with two projects featured in The Daily Reporter’s Top Projects of 2015: the Dane County Regional Airport Expansion and Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology Center. Miron Construction Co., Inc. served as the general contractor for both award-winning projects.

Four extended stay rooms are now open at Bellin Orthopedic Surgery Center in Green Bay. The new private rooms allow patients to stay at the center for up to 23 hours following their surgical procedure without incurring the additional cost of an overnight hospital stay.

ACUITY of Sheboygan was named 2016 Company of the Year by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association.

Four regional companies received the Governor’s New Product award: energybank Inc. of Manitowoc, Manninen Innovations LLC of Fond du Lac, The Solberg Company of Green Bay and Kohler Co.

Tundraland Home Improvements was honored by the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin at the 2016 Torch Awards for Ethics.

The Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center in Neenah received the Champion Customer Care Award at Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ District III meeting.

Berlin Middle School was recognized with the Outstanding Project Award from Learning by Design, an architectural magazine.

Bemis Company, Inc. won the 2016 DuPont Award for Packaging Innovation, receiving a Diamond Finalist Award for the Doril Enxaqueca medicine package.

Meijer started construction on its first Green Bay-area store, a 192,000-square-foot supercenter. The store will employ about 250 people and hiring will begin in early 2017.

ThedaCare and United Healthcare launched an accountable care program to help improve people’s health and their satisfaction with their health care experience. ThedaCare physicians will share in savings generated by providing care under a value-based, patient-centric care model.

Keller Planners, Architects and Builders announced three new projects: a 5,813-square-foot office space for Nicolet Real Estate Advocates for Healthy Transitional Living in Ashwaubenon, expected to be complete in August; a vestibule addition and altar modifications for Saint Paul Episcopal Church in Suamico, expected to be complete in September; and a 2,645 square-foot restaurant for MACS, in Appleton, expected to be complete in August.

The company will also build a 9,540 square-foot showroom addition for Vetesnik Power Sports in Richland Center. Construction is expected to be complete in November.

Gold Cross Ambulance Service of Menasha received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline STEMI Systems of Care EMS Gold Level Recognition award. This is the third straight year Gold Cross has been recognized by the AHA.

The Chamber of Manitowoc County Ambassadors awarded four $1,000 scholarships and one $500 scholarship to graduating high school seniors who are employed by, or have a parent or guardian that is employed by, a chamber-member business or organization.

Frontier Builders & Consultants of Kaukauna was awarded the following construction contracts: DramPak 10,000-square-foot manufacturing building in New Berlin; Kortz Real Estate Holdings, LLC 14,000-square-foot small engine retail and repair shop in Little Chute; and Lamers Dairy, Inc., a 4,000-square-foot addition for a warehouse, refrigeration and office addition in Appleton.

Two regional companies won a 2016 Sustainable Business Award: Evergreen Credit Union of Neenah won in the Sustainable Leadership category for efforts in zero waste, reducing water use, energy self-sufficiency and reducing the carbon footprint, and Matchback Systems of Green Bay won in the Sustainable Process category for its efforts to reduce emissions into the atmosphere by 30 percent, improving container efficiency by 20 percent and reducing total costs by 30 percent.

Prospera Credit Union completed its merger with UW Oshkosh Credit Union. As part of the merger, Prospera opened its Oshkosh branch, located at 90 Wisconsin St.

Legato Healthcare Marketing of De Pere received 11 national awards, including three gold honors, from the 2016 Aster Awards Program and the Healthcare Advertising Awards program.

Ministry Dental Clinic opened its new clinic located on 18th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.

Kohler Co. was named title sponsor for the Verizon IndyCar series event at Road America. The race, known as the KOHLER Grand Prix, took place on June 26 at Elkhart Lake.

The Manitowoc Youth Baseball Association and Fox Communities Credit Union are partnering to open a new baseball/softball complex in spring 2017. The credit union was chosen to be the sponsor of a scoreboard at one of the four ball diamonds.

Vital Essentials of Green Bay released its freeze-dried VE RAW BAR for dogs.

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., will build a 19,045-square-foot office building for The National Association of Tax Professionals in the Town of Grand Chute. The project is scheduled to be complete in February, 2017. Consolidated Construction will also renovate the former Crystal House Assisted Living, now renamed Park Vista Assisted Living.

Woodward Radio Group raised more than $2,000 with its Guitars 4 Vets campaign providing veterans, especially those suffering from PTSD, with guitars and a forum to learn how to play.

Omni Glass & Paint, Inc. will be part of the team building the St. Augustine Preparatory Academy on the south side of Milwaukee. The first phase of construction on the four-story, 180,000 square-foot is expected to be complete by summer 2017.

Unity Hospice received an $11,000 grant from Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer to fund its Doorstep Meds program that provides delivery of medications to patients homes.
