Kathi Seifert, co-chair of New North, Inc. and a retired executive vice president with the Kimberly-Clark Corp., received the 2011 Athena Award from the Fox Cities Chamber. The award honors a woman for her contributions to business and the community. The chamber also honored several other individuals for their contributions to the community: Dawn Nowakowski received the ambassador of the year award; Tim Higgins of ChiRho Services received the champion of the chamber award; Mary Harp-Jirschele of the J.J. Keller Foundation Inc. received the exceptional mentor award; John F. Bergstrom of Bergstrom Automotive received the Gus A. Zuehlke Distinguished Service Award; and Kevin Eismann, owner of Epiphany Law, received the entrepreneur of the year award.

Michele Miller joined Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls as chief financial officer. She most recently was division finance specialist at the Marshfield Clinic in Eau Claire.

Jason Kilgas joined First National Bank-Fox Valley in Neenah as director of business technology. He comes to the bank after 11 years of experience with Gannett Wisconsin Media.

Dr. Richard Canlas, a family sports medicine physician, joined ThedaCare Physicians-New London and ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus in Appleton. A former U.S. Olympic Committee consultant, Dr. Canlas’ resume includes service as a team physician with the Detroit Lions and positions at the professional and collegiate levels. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Wayne State University and his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Canlas completed his residency in family practice at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals Inc. and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Sciences. Dr. Carrie L. Kramer joined ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca as a general surgeon. Dr. Kramer earned her undergraduate degree from Carroll College and her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Luke Tremble joined ThedaCare Physicians-Pediatrics in Appleton. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Marquette University and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Tim McAdow is Integrity Insurance’s new director of communications. McAdow’s responsibilities include enhancing the Appleton insurance company’s advertising program and managing public and media relations and corporate communications. He brings more than 22 years of marketing and communications experience to his role at Integrity, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing at H.C. Miller in Green Bay. Matt Leuschner is Integrity’s new personal lines underwriting manager. He comes to Integrity with 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently with Star & Shield Insurance in Tampa Bay, Fla.

Business executive and community leader Paul Linzmeyer is the new board chairman for Better By the Bay Inc., the branding initiative for the Greater Green Bay area. He brings more than 20 years of business and community experience to the nonprofit organization. Linzmeyer is founder of ISO International LLC in Green Bay and is well known for his active involvement in business and community organizations.

Tony Willems joined Recoveron Restoration Services in Green Bay as a project manager. He works with insurers, adjusters, subcontractors and the client to return the insured property to its pre-loss condition.

Ben Salzmann, president and CEO of Acuity in Sheboygan, received the Sheboygan County Economic Driver Award from the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corp.

First Manitowoc Bancorp Inc. named Sherry Jonet as vice president of human resources. She comes to her new position with more than 16 years of human resource management experience.

Allcox & Associates named Steven Corbeille as the new branch manager in Manitowoc and Christopher Walters as a staff accountant in the Green Bay office. Corbeille served as Marinette County’s administrator for eight years and is a graduate of Lakeland College. Walters graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and brings more than nine years of experience to his current position.

Margaret (Marge) Mattice joined Unity in Green Bay as a nurse practitioner with an adult emphasis.

Michael Strohschein, chief financial officer of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group Inc., attended the national Coldwell Banker Next Generation Leaders meeting. He was just one of 20 Coldwell Banker leaders to participate. Strohschein also recently joined the UW-Green Bay Founders Association Board of Directors.

David Williams joined Bassett Mechanical in Kaukauna as vice president of manufacturing. He is responsible for overseeing Bassett’s manufacturing division, including sheet metal fabrication, piping and pressure vessel fabrication.

Steve Hyde joined Alta Resources in Neenah as vice president and chief information officer. In his new position, he oversees Alta’s global IT operations team and provides direction on IT strategy and innovation.

Shawano Medical Center named Patricia Angelucci as director of patient care services. She comes to Shawano Medical Center with a diverse nursing leadership experience, most recently as an interim healthcare executive consultant and manager with a national firm.

Fox Communities Credit Union added Kim Ansorge as the mortgage loan processing manager and Marsha Olson as a call center manager.

Vernon Jung, a member of the Moraine Park Technical College Board of Directors, was named to the Association of Community College Trustees Board of Directors representing the central region.

Diego Silva joined R.A. Smith National in Appleton as a civil engineer in the transportation division. Luke Siebert, a civil engineer with R.A. Smith National, and John Kastner, a project engineer in the construction services division, recently achieved their Wisconsin professional engineer registrations.

Gardan Inc., a contract assembly and packaging firm in Hortonville, promoted John Dennis to company vice president. In his new role, Dennis is responsible for overall business operations and new business endeavors. Gardan also hired Chris Sawall as a material handling and logistics coordinator, Stephanie Kuettel as a wire processing technical leader and Bob Griesbach as a project manager and sales estimator.

Dr. Seemanthini Hariharan recently joined Women’s Specialty Care in Green Bay. She attended medical school at St. John’s Medical College/Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India, and at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She completed her fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospital & Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Amy Schmidt joined Women’s Health Specialists at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah as an OB/GYN. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Minnesota and earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado Health Services.

Two new staff members will help The Building for Kids Children’s Museum in Appleton develop and promote educational programs for area children. Kristen Trimberger is the museum’s new education and family learning manager while Jennifer Krikava joins as the new community engagement manager. Trimberger previously worked at St. John Berchman’s School in Chicago as director of advancement while Krikava previously was with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley where she was the community relations coordinator.

J.F. Ahern in Fond du Lac promoted Travis Moser to HR manager.

Leann Brackney joined BrightStar in Appleton as an administrative assistant.

David Townsend of Keystone Business Strategies LLC completed the comprehensive Galliard Group Family Business Advisor Level II training program in Chicago.

Dr. Paul Hudson, a board certified interventional cardiologist, joined the team at Cardiology Associates of Bellin Health in Green Bay. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, Calif. Dr. Barry Daughtry, a board certified family medicine physician, joined Bellin Health’s Clinica Hispana, a Green Bay clinic geared toward Spanish-speaking patients. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, Ill., and completed his residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Ill.

First National Bank-Fox Valley named Steve Michaelson as vice president of commercial banking. He has more than 20 years of experience in business, private and retail banking.

Jennifer Ziech joined Pinnacle Consulting Group LLC in Green Bay as manager, advanced certified Quickbooks professional advisor. She comes to Pinnacle Consulting with more than 17 years of experience.

Miron Construction Co. Inc. added Chris VanDreese as a hard bid estimator and Nancy Wagner as an administrative assistant for the warehouse operations.

Associated Banc-Corp in Green Bay added Jeremy Allen as vice president, business solutions manager and Larry Siebers as vice president, database manager.

Tracy Benter, the assistant director of the Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County, received the 2011 Lakeshore Area Human Resources Association HR Professional of the Year Award.

Kevin Crawford, senior vice president of Orion Energy Systems Inc. in Manitowoc, was appointed by Gov. Scott Walker to serve as the private sector representative for Wisconsin on the Midwest US-Japan Association Board of Directors. Paul Kardish joined Orion Energy Systems as vice president and general counsel. He comes to Orion from the Kohler Co. where he was senior corporate attorney and director of labor relations and corporate security.

Catherine Huybers is the new executive of the Wisconsin Family Business Forum at UW-Oshkosh. She most recently was a business service manager with the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board.
