Becky Bartoszek was named president and CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. She most recently served as a strategic business partner and success manager at AIA Corp. She’s also worked for The QTI Group and Alltel, owned and operated her own State Farm Insurance business in Little Chute, served as ambassador for the Greater Green Bay Chamber and is a member of Rotary and the Fox Valley Society for Human Resource Management.

“Listening is something I value strongly, so I first plan to do a lot of listening — to the staff, to our members and to our stakeholders,” Bartoszek said. “Together as a community I know the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce will continue to do great things and pave a successful path for generations to come.”

John Williams was named general manager of Hotel Northland. The Green Bay hotel, which is part of Mariott’s Autograph Collection of properties, is slated to open in late fall. An industry veteran, Williams is responsible for overseeing the historic renovation and rebranding of the landmark property as well as launching all operations.

Williams brings more than 40 years of hospitality experience in hotel operations and management to the leadership position. Throughout his career, he has managed several 4-Star and 4-Diamond properties, including serving as general manager of the 307-room, 4-Diamond Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, named by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the “World’s Best Places to Stay.”

Hotel Northland also hired: Brandon Flitter, director of sales; Cherry Kiani, human resources director; James-Ryan Lundy, executive chef; Peter DonKonics III, director of food and beverage; Christopher Lee, director of housekeeping; Kevin Schneider, director of finance; Jeffrey Sonkowsky, chief engineer; and Nicole Vartanian, front office manager.

 

New hires

Meredith Jaeger was named dean of corporate training and economic development at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

Christina Turner was named president of The Trout Museum of Art and Fox Cities Building for the Arts.

Robyn Hallet was named executive director of Literacy Green Bay.

Thrivent Financial Inc. announced Terry Rasmussen will serve as CEO following the retirement of current CEO Brady Hewitt. Rasmussen joined Thrivent in 2005 and was named president in 2015. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Thrivent has its operational offices in Appleton.

Performa announced new hires: Eric Nimer, vice president, southeast region; and Alex Tessen, BIM technician.

Unison Credit Union hired Mike Allen as vice president of commercial lending.

The H.S. Group announced new hires: Kurt Johnson, vice president; and Jacob Bradley, organizational development and talent manager.

Marty Ferguson joined First Business Bank as managing director of SBA lending.

Cathlin Stuntz joined C.A. Lawton Co. as director of operations.

Werner Electric hired Genevieve Faucher, e-commerce manager.

Mark Herzog joined St. Norbert College Center for Exceptional Leadership as a leadership cohort facilitator, teaching in the areas of leadership and change management.

Krisztina Dommer, CPA, joined KerberRose as senior manager for its government audit team.

Foundations Health & Wholeness presented 2018 Ethic in Business Awards to Andrew Smith, Green Bay chief of police, individual award, and Jaime Alvarez, youth award.

Miron employees were honored with Newsmakers of the Year awards from The Daily Reporter: Jason Fuhrmann, Estimator of the Year, and Bert Pieper Jr., Super Super award. In addition, Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna was recognized as the Public Official of the Year.

Board appointments

Peter Roland of Bay Lakes Commercial Real Estate joined the Bank of Luxemburg board of directors.

Fortifi Bank made two board of director appointments: Peter Prickett, former president and CEO of First National Bank, and Greg Lundberg, Fortifi’s executive vice president and chief lending officer.
