Becky Bartoszek was named president and CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. She most recently served as a strategic business partner and success manager at AIA Corp. She’s also worked for The QTI Group and Alltel, owned and operated her own State Farm Insurance business in Little Chute, served as ambassador for the Greater Green Bay Chamber and is a member of Rotary and the Fox Valley Society for Human Resource Management.
“Listening is something I value strongly, so I first plan to do a lot of listening — to the staff, to our members and to our stakeholders,” Bartoszek said. “Together as a community I know the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce will continue to do great things and pave a successful path for generations to come.”
John Williams was named general manager of Hotel Northland. The Green Bay hotel, which is part of Mariott’s Autograph Collection of properties, is slated to open in late fall. An industry veteran, Williams is responsible for overseeing the historic renovation and rebranding of the landmark property as well as launching all operations.
Williams brings more than 40 years of hospitality experience in hotel operations and management to the leadership position. Throughout his career, he has managed several 4-Star and 4-Diamond properties, including serving as general manager of the 307-room, 4-Diamond Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, named by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the “World’s Best Places to Stay.”

Thrivent Financial Inc. announced Terry Rasmussen will serve as CEO following the retirement of current CEO Brady Hewitt. Rasmussen joined Thrivent in 2005 and was named president in 2015. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Thrivent has its operational offices in Appleton.
