Peter C. Kelly, president and CEO of United Way Fox Cities, will retire effective in May after serving 23 years in the position.

During Kelly’s tenure, he played a critical role in transforming the organization to a community impact model: focusing collective action on establishing goals, identifying strategies, measuring outcomes and mobilizing the resources (people and financial) to find and deliver solutions to the community’s most pressing challenges.

In the process, he served as a champion for establishing new partnerships and signature United Way programs serving needs unmet by other community services, which include United Way’s 2-1-1, the Fox Cities Diaper Bank and PATH (Providing Access to Healing) for Students.

New hires

Lakeland University promoted Beth Borgen, executive vice president, to be the school’s next president. When she assumes the role in spring, she’ll become the first female to lead the school in its 158-year history.

Steffen Schewerda will become the CEO North America of the Aebi Schmidt Group as of Jan. 1. He will be responsible for all North American sales and production sites from Aebi’s offices in Chilton.

Mary Alma Noonan joined Lawrence University as vice president for finance and administration.

Matthew Valiquette has been appointed the executive director of Bay Area Workforce Development Board beginning Jan. 2.

Greg Giles was named executive director of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Foundation.

Todd Shankland was named chief financial officer of Fehr Graham.

Steve Generis joined Fox Communities Credit Union as vice president of retail lending service and sales.

Kevin Gannon joined Cornerstone Business Services as vice president.

Jessica Franco-Morales was named diversity, equity and inclusion career coach at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

Barb Tengesdahl was named interim director of First Five Fox Valley.

Physician Jacob Meyer joined Bellin Health Ashwaubenon.

Cathy Hendricks joined Red Shoes Inc. as business development manager.

Reset.Life debuted weHub, an online business directory and resource hub for enterprising women. Michelle Madl-Soehren, weHub’s creator, joined Reset.Life as managing director.

Meghan Murphy joined Element as account strategist.

Michael Reed joined Ledgeview Partners as an account executive.

Cat Fages joined Carnivore Meat Co. as account specialist for the Mountain and Lower Midwest regions.

Prevea Health announced new hires: urologist Andrew Radtke and OB-GYN Lauren Useem. Pediatric interventionist Pradeep Prakash joined HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital and Prevea Health.

Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley hired orthopedic surgeons Kevin Campbell, Peter Eggert, Gearin Green and Robert Limoni, as well as physician assistants Jordana Butler, Jennifer Marshall and Brian Raguse.

Gynecologic oncologist Nitin Wadhwa joined Aurora BayCare Gynecologic Oncology.

Kristopher Straughter was named manager of the U.S. Cellular Green Bay east store.

H.J. Martin and Son announced new hires: Abby Reich, marketing coordinator, and Mason Liebergen, residential flooring division.

Keller Inc. announced new hires: Emily Madison, flatwork craftsman; Simon Olig, building craftsman; and Mehmet Fitzhugh, carpentry craftsman.

Erica Schneider was promoted to head of the preventive maintenance program at Bartelt Insulation in Appleton and achieved the Certified Thermal Insulation Inspector designation.


Glassdoor named Acuity President and CEO Ben Salzmann to its list of the Highest-Rated CEOs During the COVID-19 Crisis. Salzmann is ranked No. 8 among all U.S. CEOs of large organizations and is the top-ranked insurance CEO in the nation on the list.

The Wisconsin Technical College System’s District Board Association presented its Distinguished Alumni Award to Moraine Park Technical College alumnus and former Mid-States Aluminum President and CEO Stephen Peterson.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College District Board of Trustees member Carla Hedtke received the 2020 Central Regional Trustee Leadership Award from the Association of Community College Trustees and the 2020 Trustee of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Technical Colleges District Boards Association.

Lynn Schad of Wisconsin Public Service was honored as the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year.

Board Appointments

Bola Delano-Oriaran, associate professor of education and director of student-teaching abroad at St. Norbert College, was selected as a fellow on the new Pre-Service Educator Preparation Consortium. The consortium brings together representatives from state education agencies, select teaching colleges and leading educational organizations to consider promising new approaches to preparing future educators for family engagement.

Cordero X. Barkley, TitletownTech, joined the board for directors of American National Bank.

Joaquín Altoro, CEO of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, was appointed to serve on the Consumer Advisory Board of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Bill Censky, co-founder and former president, CEO and chairman of the board of Investors Community Bank, stepped down from his position as chairman of the board.

William Albiero, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists, and Megan Manahan, ThedaCare, joined the Fox Cities Marathon board of directors.
