John Bykowski, CEO of Secura Insurance in Appleton, is the recipient of The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies’ 2013 Chairman’s Award. Bykowski worked in the property/casualty insurance industry for 40 years. Secura recently promoted Steve Miller to vice president of commercial lines underwriting. Miller was Secura’s director of commercial lines underwriting.

Mark Catlin, J. J. Keller & Associates Inc.’s channel partner sales manager, will retire in January after 32 years with the company. Catlin started in customer service. J. J. Keller also announced three new hires: Tim Little, vice president of manufacturing and supply chain, who has more than 20 years of operational experience, including 14 years at Miles Kimball Company; Shaun Gunderson, vice president of managed services, who has 12 years of operations and project management experience; and Lisa Karpinski, vice president of marketing, who has more than 25 years of progressive marketing experience.

Ron Harder, retired president and CEO of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, was inducted into the Wisconsin Jewelers Association’s Hall of Fame. Harder was the president and CEO of Jewelers Mutual for 25 years and remains an active member of the community in Neenah.

Larry Trucco is the new owner of High Cliff Restaurant Banquet and Catering in Sherwood. Trucco became a full-time general manager for High Cliff Restaurant in 2010 and has more than a decade of experience with Bergstrom Hotels. He is the former president of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

James and Shirley Ries joined Feucht Financial Group LLC in Fond du Lac with 43 years of combined income tax expertise with Ries Tax Services in Fond du Lac.

BayCare Clinic hired several emergency physicians to its practice: Dr. Kerry Ahrens, Dr. Sarah C. Feldmann, Dr. Gemma C. Lewis and Dr. Christopher J. Painter. BayCare Clinic Radiology hired Dr. Emma DiPonio and Dr. Stephen Janas for radiology services at Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

Sheila Jenkins, president of Network Health in Menasha, was elected president of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans for the 2014 term. The association is the voice of 10 community-based health plans in addressing state public policy issues.

SCA Chairman Sverker Martin-Löf was chosen to be part of the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame. He played a key role in a number of Swedish industries and was previously president and CEO of SCA.

Andy Pepper was hired as vice president of supply chain solutions for Plexus Corp. Pepper worked more than 20 years as senior director of Jabil Circuit Inc.’s supply chain development in the Florida global electronics industry. Brandon Wilson was promoted to vice president of materials for the Americas region. Wilson was director of supply chain operations at Plexus and held leadership roles at Jabil and Flextronics.

The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hired Jayme Sellen as director of government affairs. Sellen was the government affairs director for the Dairy Business Association and was a legislative assistant to the Brown County executive.

Sarah Schwarten was promoted to Associated Bank’s director of strategic planning. She has 12 years of banking experience as a manager in the bank’s private client and institutional services strategic planning division. Bradley Ross was hired as the bank’s solutions architect with 11 years of insurance experience as Assurant Inc.’s business intelligence manager.

Two local founders of emergency medical services in the Fox Valley received the Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin (PAAW) Stars of Life Award. Gold Cross Ambulance Services recognized Jim Welch, founder of Gold Cross Ambulance Service and Barry Tomaras, founder of Waupaca Area Ambulance.

Attorney William E. Fischer joined Davis & Kuelthau, S.C.’s Corporate and Commercial Litigation Practice in the company’s Oshkosh office. Fischer is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and licensed to practice in the Federal District Courts for the eastern and western districts of Wisconsin, the northern district of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Bradley D. Page is the new president of the Davis & Kuelthau firm. Page served on the firm’s board of directors for the past seven years. He maintains an active real estate and corporate practice.

The Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin Prosperity Center hired Ray Kaluzny as Wautoma Prosperity Center coach. Nicole Ihlenfeldt was promoted to assistant team leader for the New Goods team at Goodwill’s Shiner Center in Appleton. In Menasha, Dean Ward was promoted to facilities regional team leader, David Lindenstruth was hired as leader of retail stores and training centers, and Kimberly Miller was hired as the payment partner team leader at the Goodwill Financial Information and Service Center (FISC).

Wipfli LLP’s managing partner and chairman, Rick Dreher, was selected by Inside Public Accounting (IPA) as one of 2013’s Most Admired Peers in the accounting profession.

Advance hired Laura A. Gille as microloan program director. Gille was vice president of the special accounts management unit at BMO Harris Bank and was a senior loan officer and portfolio manager for the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation. Judith Lepak was hired as a customer service representative at the Advance Business & Manufacturing Center.

Alliance Construction & Design in De Pere hired Deb Barlament as vice president of operations. Barlament previously was vice president of operations for Bayland Buildings, was general manager of the Green Bay Blizzard arena football team and was a vice president at the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

Marlo M. Vasquez was hired as VibeTech Inc.’s CEO. Vasquez worked as global vice president and general manager of nutritional chemistry and food safety at Covance Inc. and as North America Services marketing manager at GE Healthcare.

Dr. Amy Van Gheem joined Prevea Health’s Prevea St. Mary’s Health Center in Green Bay as an obstetrician and gynecologist.

Rob McNutt was hired as Expera Specialty Solutions’ chief financial officer. McNutt has more than 25 years of experience in the paper industry at Boise Inc. and as senior vice president and CFO for Greif Inc. Kerry Shepard, RN, was hired as the director of care for the Grand Chute Helen’s House. Shepard comes to Helen’s House with 22 years of nursing experience in geriatric long-term care.

Chuck Brys, a UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center business counselor, was awarded a 2013 UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor’s Award for his role with the Forest County Economic Development Partnership. Brys has more than 35 years of management experience in several manufacturing companies.

ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus at Appleton Medical Center hired Dr. Kristen Kuratnick, an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon.

Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin hired Thomas Lukes as general manager of the company’s Fox Valley office.
