The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce will announce the winners of its annual business awards during The Event: Celebrating Business, Nov. 5. The winners this year include:  Kathi Seifert, owner of The Katapult Group, The Joyce Bytof Exceptional Mentor; Jim Beré, co-founder and CEO of Alta Resources, Entrepreneur of the Year; Margaret LeBrun, co-publisher and executive editor of Insight Publications, LLC, Athena Award; Walter S. Rugland, Gus A. Zuehlke Distinguished Service; Jason Henderson, Orchard Financial, Young Professional of the Year; and Dennis Jochman, Bechard Group, Champion of the Chamber. The Chamber will also induct three business leaders into the Business Hall of Fame: John Bykowski, retired CEO of SECURA Insurance; David G. Voss, Jr., president & CEO of Miron Construction; and Leota Ester, founder of Landmark Staffing Resources.

Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh announced Jeremy Normington as its new president. Normington comes from Moundview Memorial Hospital and Clinics in Adams-Friendship, where he served as CEO. Prior to joining Moundview, Normington held positions at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Iowa and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Connie C. Loden, executive director of Progress Lakeshore, has been selected for the 2014 Wisconsin Leadership Award by the U.S. Institute for Advancement of Trade & Commerce.

Rob Riordan, executive vice president and director of corporate development for Nsight and Cellcom, announced his retirement effective at the end of 2014. Riordan was a driving force behind the founding of Cellcom and has helped to launch a number of other new business enterprises under the Nsight umbrella. He remains as executive vice president and will continue to serve on Nsight’s board of directors and act as a consultant to the company.

Tom Cromwell, president of Kohler Engines since 2009, has assumed responsibility for Kohler Co.’s worldwide power operations. Cromwell will provide strategic and operational leadership for the group’s engines and power systems businesses worldwide.

Infinity Technology announced Adam Shepherd, system engineer, and Robert McCarthy, executive account manager, joined its staff.

Cherney Microbiological Services, Ltd. added Stacey Drosner Murphy as a project manager.

Professional Service Industries, Inc. announced David Barndt as principal consultant for its Construction Materials Testing Service line.

Lawrence University appointed four new members to its board of trustees: Terry Moran, ABC News’ chief foreign correspondent; Laura Kohler, Kohler Co. senior vice president-human resources; Ron McCoy, Princeton University architect; and Garth Neustadter, award-winning film composer.

Alliance Laundry Systems announced the promotion of Matthew Westphal to financial services manager for all of Alliance’s finance groups. Westphal recently served as manager of Speed Queen Financial Services.

Tammy Young was named the executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County.

Ganther Construction/Architecture Inc. added Mark Neubauer as a project manager and Kristin Westegard as controller.

Baylake Bank added Anne Denissen to its treasury management team as product manager.

Faith Technologies, a leading electrical and specialty systems contractor, hired Curt Nassen as its director of information technology.

WOW Logistics promoted Tim Lisowe to vice president of human resources. The company also hired Scott Vanden Elzen as vice president of software development.

Davis & Kuelthau announced the inclusion of several of its attorneys in The Best Lawyers in America 2015: Robert W. Burns, Geoffrey A. Lacy and Adrian T. Ulatowski of the Green Bay office; and James R. Macy and Robert A. Mathers of the Oshkosh office. Burns was named a 2015 Best Lawyer of the Year for Labor Law – Management, while Macy was named a 2015 Best Lawyer of the Year for Employment Law – Management.

Liz Moua joined Advanced Professional Services, LLC as an executive search consultant with a specialty in health care. The firm also announced Amanda Crouse accepted a position as research and recruiting assistant.

Miron Construction Co., Inc. promoted Andre Lorenzen to project executive. A LEED accredited professional, Lorenzen has worked with the company since 2010. Miron also announced the recent hires of: Dan Bice, heavy equipment mechanic; Andrew Garvey, small engine/small tools mechanic; Collin Hines, warehouse laborer; and Brent McKerchie, warehouse laborer.

First National Bank-Fox Valley announced Barry Wood was hired as a mortgage loan officer; Beth Meisel was hired as a teller supervisor; Susan Rohde was hired as a part-time teller; Patty Bowers was hired as a teller; Laura Taylor was promoted to teller supervisor; and Lisa Grosskopf, personal banker, moved to the Oshkosh location.

Fox Communities Credit Union welcomed Julie Montoure Bottois as a loan officer.

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley announced the appointment of Audra Hoffmann, assistant professor of business and economics; and Erin DeMuynck, assistant professor of geography.

Four lawyers from the Law Firm of Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. were selected for inclusion in the 21st Edition of Best Lawyers in America: Greg Conway, commercial litigation; Tom Olejniczak, corporate law; Fred Schmidt, trusts and estates; and George Burnett, personal injury litigation.

Integrity Insurance announced Derek Kawleski accepted the position of commercial field underwriter with the company’s commercial field underwriting program.

Disa Wahlstrand has been named vice president for engineering services at Ayres Associates and will oversee services in the Eau Claire, Madison, Waukesha and Green Bay offices.

The Radisson Paper Valley Hotel promoted three team members: Tyler Lee, to front office manager; Mark Kloehn, to room’s division manager status; and Gina Brempell, to assistant front office manager.

The American Red Cross announced Michelle Lippart joined the organization as a major gifts officer.

Hometown Bank of Fond du Lac announced Albert Curl accepted the position of vice president of retail banking.

Bellin College announced four new employees: Kathleen McKenzie, admissions counselor; Kathryn Wall, administrative assistant to the president and VP of business and finance; Gena Van Domelen, administrative assistant to development and public relations; and Jessica Maas Hopp, development and alumni relations coordinator. The school also announced Margaret Gauthier as the recipient of the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award. Jason Mott, instructor of nursing, was elected by his peers to serve as a member of the national board of directors for the American Assembly of Men in Nursing.

The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau welcomed Alison Hutchinson as a convention sales and marketing representative.

Dan Holl of Raymond James of Green Bay has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation from the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa.

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley has announced two new tenure appointments and one promotion for the 2014-15 academic year: Kathy Phillippi-Immel, Psychology & Education, and Frances Perkins, Communication & Theatre Arts. John Beaver, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics & Astronomy, earned a promotion to professor.

Tweet/Garot Mechanical announced Brian Meyers joined its service department. The company also announced the addition of John Kurowski to the service team in Green Bay.
