Bob Pedersen joined the board of directors of First Business Bank-Northeast in Appleton, part of First Business Financial Services, Inc. Pedersen is president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin, Inc. He has more than 40 years of nonprofit leadership experience.

Seven regional leaders were confirmed to new, three-year terms on the New North, Inc., board of directors. Bob DeKoch and Kathi Seifert will continue as co-chairpersons. DeKoch is president and CEO at The Boldt Company, Appleton. Seifert is owner of Katapult LLC and retired executive vice president at Kimberly-Clark, Neenah. Continuing as board members are Corey Brumbaugh, vice president of business development at Miron Construction, Neenah; Shannon Full, president and CEO at Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, Appleton; Mark Herzog, president and CEO at Holy Family Memorial, Manitowoc; Robert Riordan, executive vice president at Nsight/Cellcom, Green Bay; Richard Wells, chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; Tim Weyenberg, chairman at Foth, Green Bay; and Tom Wiltzius, principal at enVision Performance Solutions LLC, Greenville.

Andria Hannula was named campaign director at the Brown County United Way. She will lead annual campaigns for more than 40 human service programs in Brown County. Hannula previously worked as a customer service and account manager at Alta Resources in Neenah.

Josue Reyes, merchandise manager of Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits in Kohler, received the 2013 PGA Merchandiser of the Year Award for Resort Facilities.

Darlene Marcelle was awarded the 2013 Nancy A. Felhofer Leadership Award at a June Women in Management meeting. Marcelle previously worked as Brown County Clerk and also served on the Green Bay City Council and the Brown County Board of Supervisors.

Kate Burgess, CEO and owner of Fulfillnet, is the 2013 Athena Award winner. She will receive the award at the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner on Monday, Oct. 7, at the KI Convention Center. The chamber also named Timothy Nixon, shareholder/partner, Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. Law Offices, the 2013 Daniel Whitney Award for Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.

KI CEO Dick Resch and wife Sharon Resch recently made a $1 million donation to Bellin Health in support of its new Resch Medical Unit.

Rachel Weber, a project coordinator/interior designer at H.J. Martin & Son, was accredited as a LEED Green Associate.

McMahon added staff at the firm’s headquarters in Neenah. Sam Tijan joined McMahon’s architectural group as an architectural designer. Eric Rhodehamel was hired as a project manager and Ashlee Prochnow was hired as an architectural designer. Michael Jacobs and Greg Flohr joined McMahon’s environment and infrastructure group as civil engineers.

Bud Kleiman was hired as a business intermediary at Creative Business Services, also known as CBSGlobal, in Green Bay.

Beth Seymour, vice president of business operations at KI, was presented with the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Alumni Association. Seymour has been a KI employee for nearly 36 years.

Neuroscience Group in Neenah hired neurohospitalist Dr. Bernadette Borte. Borte attended medical school at St. Matthew’s University in Grand Cayman, British West Indies and completed post-graduate training in neurology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Karrie Hoch, a registered nurse with Neuroscience Group, was recently recognized as a National Neuroscience Nurse of the Year from the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Three Northeast Wisconsin Technical College instructors were presented with the BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year Award. Nursing instructors Cheryl Kollath and Jane Swanson, and Physical Therapist Assistant instructor Charles Castleberg were chosen by the BayCare Clinic Foundation’s board. Each of the recipients will be given up to $2,000 to attend a national health conference specific to their profession.

The Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley hired Danielle Zarling as case manager. Zarling previously worked as a shelter advocate at Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services.

Dr. Jeremy Anclam joined HFM Gastroenterology, 1900 Woodland Drive, Manitowoc. Dr. Anclam received his medical degree from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Timothy Nixon, Winston A. Ostrow, and William J. Plummer of the Green Bay office of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014. Daniel T. Flaherty of the Godfrey & Kahn Appleton office also was named, as was John F. Hager of Hager, Dewick & Zuengler, S.C., Green Bay. Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey in which almost 50,000 leading attorneys cast nearly five million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice.

Orion Energy Systems in Manitowoc hired Tim Kellner as senior director of human resources. Kellner has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, labor relations, and total quality management. Vincent Alonzi was hired as regional vice president of sales. He has more than 22 years of experience in sales management. Mitch Carr was hired as senior director of supply chain and logistics. He has 30 years of supply chain and operations management, including 10 years of experience in lean manufacturing. Pat Lazure was hired as director of corporate development. He holds an MBA from Creighton University.

The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce hired Kari Cassidy as manager of marketing and communications. Cassidy was a television news producer at Fox-11 in Green Bay.

Stellar Blue Web Design LLC, a digital marketing agency, hired Jason Raisleger as a project strategist.

Gereson Yongo was appointed food and beverage director at Heidel House Resort & Spa. Yongo’s experience spans across Africa, the Middle East, Caribbean and United States. Yongo earned a hospitality degree from Kenya Utalli College in Nairobi, Kenya, and a certificate in revenue management from Cornell University.

Brent Tierney is a new financial advisor at the Schaefer Behnke Group in Oshkosh.

The Bank of Kaukauna added two new residential and consumer lenders to its mortgage department. Jan Vanevenhoven has more than 30 years of mortgage experience. Sarah Cooper joins with more than six years of mortgage lending experience as well as a consumer lending background. Gina Nytes was promoted to vice president and consumer lending manager. She has more than 25 years of banking experience.

MetJet hired Cheri Larson as director of marketing. She has more than 25 years of marketing experience, most recently as owner of Larson Creative Services. Abby Postl, a recent UW-Oshkosh graduate, is MetJet’s new director of programs.

Prospera Credit Union in Appleton hired John Schemm as vice president of lending. Schemm has more than 24 years of experience in the banking industry and about eight years of experience in consumer lending.

Jamie Kimball was hired as lead electrical engineer at HiTech Control Systems, Inc. Kimball has more than 14 years of experience in the automation industry.

The PGA of America and Kohler Co. announced David Kohler will be general chair of the 2015 PGA Championship, which will be held for the third time on the Straits Course at Whistling Straits, Aug. 10 to Aug. 16, 2015. Kohler is president of Kohler Co.

Sandy Goltz was hired as director of self-funded services at Network Health, Menasha. Goltz has 28 years of insurance experience.

Remley & Sensenbrenner, S.C. of Neenah hired attorney James R. Phelan. Phelan practices employment law, business law, real estate, elder law and guardianship.

Bridget Krage O’Connor, a 1993 graduate and previous vice president of St. Norbert College, opened her own strategic planning and marketing communications company, O’Connor Connective, LLC in Green Bay.

Jessica De Hamer is a part-time agent coordinator at NEW Title Services, Inc. in Appleton.

CitizensFirst Credit Union Loan Operations Manager Dale O’Keefe was appointed to the Services Council of the Wisconsin Credit Union League.

Jennifer Vander Zanden was promoted to vice president of client services of Breakthrough Fuel in Green Bay. Vander Zanden has been with the company since 2005 and previously held the position of director of analytical services. A former professional water-skier, Vander Zanden still skis almost daily during the summer months and performs with the local ski group Waterboard Warriors.

David Vander Ploeg will retire as the chief financial officer of School Specialty, Inc. on Dec. 31 after more than five years with the company.

Sheryl Huhn was hired as an executive search consultant at Advanced Professional Services, LLC in Menasha. Sheryl has more than 15 years of experience in the recruiting industry.

The Door County Economic Development Corporation and the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center said Angela Lensch won the $1,000 cash award for the best business plan as a part of the 12th annual Door County Entrepreneurial Training Program course. She is an artist and owner of the Angela Lensch Jewelry and Fine Art Gallery opening spring 2014 in Egg Harbor. Jeff Sheffler was hired by the Wisconsin Business Development Finance Corp.’s Green Bay office as vice president and loan officer. Sheffler has more than 14 years of credit and commercial lending experience.

Attorney Jim Prosser is ThedaCare’s new general counsel. Prosser worked with ThedaCare for many years through his work at Godfrey & Kahn. ThedaCare will continue to use Godfrey & Kahn as outside counsel. Prosser also served as general counsel and chief administrative officer for Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co. in Neenah.

Dr. Alexander Tretinyak was added at Appleton Medical Center as a vascular/general surgeon. He earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota, where he also pursued his residency training in general surgery. Tina Bettin, a nurse practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians-Manawa, received the American Association of Nurse Practitioners 2013 State Award of Excellence at a recent national convention. Bettin has been a nurse practitioner for 25 years.
