Cybersecurity Symposium to be held Sept. 10 in Appleton
Insight will host the Cybersecurity Symposium from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 10 at Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley in Appleton.
Cyberattacks are real and affect all types of businesses, especially small- to medium-size companies, which are more vulnerable to attack. This event will focus on several aspects surrounding cybersecurity and attacks including common threats, tactics and trends, crisis communication, ways to create a successful security program and defensive measures to combat these attacks.
The event features a keynote from FBI supervisory special agent Eric Burns. He’ll discuss cyberattacks and threats and share a case study exploring an FBI investigation into a cybersecurity breach. The morning includes additional breakout sessions from experts at CliftonLarsonAllen, US Bank, M3 Insurance and Heartland Business Systems. CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and finance directors are encouraged to attend.
Cybercriminals cost businesses $1.2 billion in 2018 — double the number it was in 2017. “Criminals are getting more sophisticated in how they use technology in their crimes,” Burns says.
Registration is $55 and only open to the first 300 people. The symposium includes breakfast, breakout sessions and networking. Visit insightonbusiness.com/events/security to register.
